shuffleSPORTS :: Badminton Fever

Last night was lovely. How is it funny to have a badminton game on 'Friday Night' in Oxford when everyone else are going out to party. Partying is never my culture, and never going to be one. (May Allah leads my heart only to His righteous path, Ameen ). The game becomes more spicy as we just attended the All England Badminton Championship last week. Three of us- Ida, Wan and I went to Birm all the way to support Malaysian's player that got into final, the famous Lee Chong Wei VS Lin Dan, from China. It was my first ever live game as 25 years living. I used to watch this game in television with my parents when i'm was small. It was like what, 15 years ago?haha! Well, good to know that I'm still at least enthusiastic about sports and games up till now. Always something that i really enjoyed :) As for the All England result, however, its quite frustrating as Chong Wei surrendered in the 2nd half of the game due to muscle strain. Lin Dan said in the interview that he definitely will meet Chong Wei again in Olympics 2012 in London. A good challenge and it'll be interesting to see how the progress are to be with Chong Wei.

It also made me realize for how long i haven't been playing badminton. Looking back, it has been about 1.5years back, when i attended the last game with ARRA staffs for weekly badminton games. I was quite consistent in sports back then. I just feel the need to get fresh and fit, especially in the working years where you just sit comfortably on the office chair facing the computer while drawing CAD or 3D-ing models, and later walk just bit to the parking lot, grab the car and accelerate back home- a very limited opportunity of being fit! Its good that after winter has gone, and spring has peek through the window, as we get the opportunity to step into court and do some energy-boosting exercises. Hope that this event could be done weekly and consistently although the final semester is almost coming to an end. A friend of mine just reminded, 'its our final semester after all, so do what ever you feel like doing, since time will never comes back to where it is. Enjoy life in Oxford while still can :)"

Definitely I will!
